Korea Cyber Security Business Partnership served as a catalyst for future cooperation in information security industry to Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur – The 2018 Malaysia – Korea Cyber Security Business Partnership hosted by Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) of Korea, and organized by Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), Korea Information Security Industry Association (KISIA) was successfully held on 22nd – 23rd November 2018 at Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur.  It was an event to promote Korean cyber information security companies via seeking new opportunities in Malaysia.

The Business Partnership is held in form of a business matching 1:1 with the participants of 11 Korean companies who are members of association and specialized in cyber security. About 40 companies and organizations operating in cyber security industry or companies using cyber security and services attended the event to directly exchange their ideas as well as to serve as a catalyst for future cooperation in information security industry.

During 2-day-event, Korean companies introduced their solutions, shared their future plans in Malaysia and discussed further partnerships with Malaysian buyers. In addition, on the 23rd, business partnership showcase seminar was held, which was a platform for both Korean companies and Malaysian buyers to share the insight about Malaysian Cyber Security industry. Opened with speech from Mr. Anwar, head of Cyber Security Malaysia (CSM), it was followed by 4 Korean companies’ presentation about their outstanding cyber security solutions.

After showcase, Korean companies and Malaysian buyers had networking session where they discuss potential partnership in both Korea and Malaysia in the future. “We’re highly interested in Korean companies’ hi-tech solution with accuracy, reliability and speed. We’re looking forward to cooperating with Korean companies in Cyber security industry in near future.” said one of participants.
